ISCNP31 & ICOB11 WELCOMES YOU

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), we are glad to inform that, the 31st International Symposium on the Chemistry of Natural Products and the 11th International Congress on Biodiversity (ISCNP31 & ICOB11), originally scheduled for 2020 and postponed because of the worldwide COVID19 outbreak, will be held on October 15th -19th 2023 in Napoli, Italy.

The Italian chemical community has a long tradition in the chemistry of natural products, both of terrestrial and marine origin, as well as in the investigation and preservation of both terrestrial and marine biodiversity. This is especially true in the Campania Region, where the leading scientific groups at the University of Napoli “Federico II”, University of Salerno, Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry (CNR) and Zoological Station “Anton Dohrn” are actively involved in furtherance of these aims by means of a solid network of scientific relationships and collaborations around the world. Scientists from these institutions are also involved in the organization of the International Summer School on Natural Products (ISSNP), a course sponsored by Società Chimica Italiana (SCI) which is hosted every two years in the area of Napoli and is specifically designed for PhD students and young researchers aiming to acquire an interdisciplinary and intersectoral understanding of the state of the art in Natural Products Chemistry and Biology (https://www.issnpschool.org/). The Neapolitan area is also the headquarter of the Ischia Advanced School of Organic Chemistry (IASOC) (http://www.iasoc.it/home/), a scientific event aimed to bring together leading scientists of the highest international reputation to provide an overview of the latest advances in various areas of Organic Chemistry and a unique forum allowing cross-fertilization of ideas between natural product chemistry to organic synthesis and their multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary implications.
